The UK Government has finally made the bold decision to embrace the changing opinions on cannabis use for both medicinal and recreational users and review the process of legalising the plant across England. The Police in Durham started the institutional support of legislative change by stating publically that they will not prosecute personal consumption or cultivation and were quickly supported by Surrey and Dorset Police forces. London Weed want to be there at the start of this very exciting journey.  Marijuana has a known history since the beginning of time. It is a naturally occuring crop that has predominantly vanished due to its global prohabition in the 1930s. The US are once again ahead of the global trend and are already well on the way to creating a new collection of billionaires. Although only 18 States have adopted the medical marijuana approach, 2 have embraced recreational and medicinal use and the others are in the process of deciding. The Federal Law still classifies marijuana as a prohibited drug but no prosecutions have been implemented. Uruguay, Mexico and Spain have also dropped prosecuting cannibis users and adopted a variety of new legislation enabling users to participate if they so wish.

 

We are not quite sure what our business model will be as we do not yet know the parameters of the new legislation but regardless we are looking forward to the opportunity of working with open minded customers
